Depression - The Difference Between Feeling Bad and Depression
Nowadays many of us start to suffer from depression. Let’s see a few things about depression to understand it, where it comes from and what it is all about. First you must know that the depression is a mental disorder. We meet this disorder in a person’s body, mood and thoughts. Depression can influence many things in a person, like eating, sleeping, even judgment. It is important not to confuse depression with unhappiness or down feeling. Also it is good to know that depression is not a condition that cannot be wanted away or motivated. Depression is not an indication of personal flow. Those persons who suffer from depression have a big problem; they cannot gather themselves together and get well.
There are some different types of depression. So we may classify depression in: major depression, manic depression and dysthymia depression. This case of depression is known to be the most serious type of mood disorder. This is based on the austerity and symptoms. Also this kind of depression became a serious health disorder and serious health concern.
The manic depression type is characterized by both low and high mood swings. In the case of dysthymia depression we can identify low to moderate level of depression. This is known to last about two years, but sometimes it may last longer. In this case of depression the symptoms are not so serious like in the case of major depression, but they last for long and they are defiant to healing. It is known that those people who suffer from this kind of depression may develop a major depression for a moment when depressed.
Sometimes some people develop Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). This kind of disorder is characterized by a seasonal depression. But most of the people develop it in during winter. It is also characterized the desire of sleeping for too long and the desire for starchier foods. The signs of seasonal affective disorder may not appear at the beginning of winter. They may appear late winter or spring.
Statistics show us that there are many women than men who suffer from depression. We know that depression comes in episodes and each person will experience depression differently. Now let’s which are the episodes of depression: loss of interest in regular tasks, feelings of sadness, mood swing.
We will present you now some of the symptoms of depression: feelings of despair and doubt, feelings of unimportance, guilt, impatience and unpredictability, an increase or decrease in weight from desire or lack of desire for eating, thoughts of suicide.
Depression is not an uncommon disease. It may be experience by anyone. Depression can make a person feel sad, hopeless, helpless and irritable. You must know that everyone may experience these feelings sometimes, but those who suffer from depression will not snap out of it. This is the difference between feeling bad sometimes and suffering from depression.
